True Noise Ltd is the data controller for this site. We collect little, we sell nothing, and nothing optional runs without your consent. This page sets out what we process, why we are allowed to, who touches it, and what you can do about it.

Who we are

True Noise Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17162702), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. For anything in this policy, write to info@truenoise.co.uk or call +44 7847 149372 — your contact is Peter Horvath. We are a small company and are not required to appoint a data protection officer.

Who receives it

We use a small set of service providers, each acting as our processor under a data processing agreement:

ProviderWhat forWhere
ResendDelivers contact-form messages to us by emailUnited States
KlaviyoStores the newsletter list and sends the emailsUnited States
Google (Analytics 4)Analytics — only after you consentUnited States
CloudflareContent delivery, security filtering and the Turnstile anti-bot check on our formsUnited States (global network)

The site itself runs on our own server in the UK/EU. No one else receives your data unless the law requires it.

Transfers outside the UK

The providers above are US companies certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which UK law recognises as providing adequate protection. Where a provider's agreement also includes standard contractual clauses with the UK addendum, those apply as a fallback. Write to us for details or copies of these safeguards.

How long we keep it

  • Contact-form correspondence: up to 24 months after our last exchange.
  • Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe, after which only a suppression record is kept so we do not email you again.
  • Server and security logs: 30 days.
  • Analytics data: 14 months, the retention period set in Google Analytics.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, and a portable copy of anything you gave us with consent.

You also have the right to object to any processing we base on legitimate interests, including the correspondence and logging described above. Object by emailing info@truenoise.co.uk.

Where processing rests on consent — the newsletter and analytics — you can withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it: unsubscribe from any email, or clear this site's cookies to be asked again about analytics. Withdrawal does not affect what was lawfully done before it.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, we would rather hear from you first — but you can complain at any time to the Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF (ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint).

Changes

If what we process changes, this page changes first. Significant changes get a note on the homepage.
